Veteran Ghanaian rapper, Jerry Anaba, widely known as Okomfuor Kwadee is asking the President of the Republic to pay special attention to the state of mental health in the country.
According to Kwadee, President Akufo-Addo must issue a directive to Ghana Health Service in order to improve mental health conditions nationwide.
The rapper made the statement on Tuesday at the Willing Ways Foundation rehabilitation centre at Kwamo in the Ashanti Region when a delegation from MUSIGA visited him.
“On behalf of all the people here, I plead on our leaders, especially the President and all the chiefs to help create awareness for people to stop neglecting those with mental problems. We should all pay attention to such people and let them feel part of society,” he said.

However, the leader of the rehab centre, Lydia Abena Manu, few weeks ago told the media that the rapper had been neglected by family and friends.
This kept people wondering what his condition was, but according to MUSIGA executives who called on him, Kwadee is doing better than before.
The respected rapper shoot to fame years ago with his unique rap songs such as ‘Aboro ne Bayie’, ‘Ataa Adwoa’, ‘Ka Wo Nan to So,’ among others.
Some reports indicates that he is currently recording songs which will be released onto the music market soon.
