Following a successful African Cup of nations AFCON the organisers CAF has finally announced the best XI players who excelled in the tournament.

The list is dominated by Senegal players having five followed by the champions Algeria getting four whilst Nigeria and Tunisia got one each.
Also the list is dominated by four defenders with three from the Senegal team and one in the Tunisia squad.
Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo, has made the CAF Best XI, following the conclusion of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Ighalo netted five times to clinch the Golden Boot award and is the only Nigerian player included.
Algeria’s goalkeeper, Rais M’Bolhi, who conceded two goals is also on the list.
The winning coach, Algeria’s Djamel Belmadi is assigned as the coach.
