Ghana\’s only rep in the CAF Champions League Kumasi Asante Kotoko will clash with Nigerian side Kano Pillars in the preliminary round of the competition.

Asante Kotoko will travel to play first in Kano on the weekend of August 9-11 with the return leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on the weekend of 23-25 August.
Kotoko are going into this competition after winning the Normalisation Committee\’s special competition Tier I last month.
Kano Pillars were also champions of the Nigerian Premier League last season.
Elsewhere Obuasi Ashanti Gold will also clash with Equatorial Guinea side Akonangui FC in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup which starts next month.
The Miners game is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 9-11 August in Equatorial Guinea with the return fixture at Obuasi on the weekend of 23-25 August.
Ashgold qualified for the Confederation Cup after clinching the tier II trophy of the Normalisation Committee\’s special competition.
