Guru Expresses His Disappointment In Rex Omar

Popular Ghanaian rapper Guru NKZ, has expressed his disappointment in the current chairman of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) Mr Rex Omar.

The musician born Maradona Yeboah Adjei, in his recent interview revealed that the activities of the Organization are not transparent—so an investigation should be launched into how they do their works.

Speaking about the last time he received royalties from GHAMRO, Guru said;

“I don’t remember. These are the things we need to address. We need to do proper checks. Do you know we have a system that helps to track the number of times songs are played, but GHAMRO has abandoned this system because it will expose their corrupt activities? This is what must be investigated,” he stated.

He revealed in an interview on Rainbow Radio that he can’t even recall the last time that he received a royalty from the Organization.

The “Bad Energy” composer made this known on Accra based Rainbow Radio. Few days ago legendary highlife female artist Akosua Agyapong described Rex as the worst GHAMRO Chairman.
