Why Kosta Papic Is Leaving Hearts Of Oak

Coach Kosta Papic has revealed why he has decided to leave his post as head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak.

Earlier we reported that the Serbian coach has ended his stay with the Accra based football club just three months.



Speaking on why he has taken such decision he disclosed that is due to interference in his job from the club’s top hierarchy.

The 60-year-old trainer speaking to Accra-based radio station Angel FM said,

”The influence from the management and board in player selection will make every professional coach uncomfortable at Hearts of Oak.”

He was appointed on November 30 last year but had to wait till December 13 to officially take charge of his first game which was against Dreams FC.

The former Orlando Pirates coach came to replace Edward Nii Odoom and was in charge of the Phobians for 10 games, winning four, drawing three and losing three.

This was Papic’s second-term at the Accra-based club with his first coming in 2008.
