Kosta Papic Narrates Why He Left Hearts Of Oak

Hearts of Oak former head coach Kosta Papic has narrated the event that led him to leave his post as the club’s head coach.

Speaking to Bright Kankam Boadu on Pure FM sports revealed that he decided to end his stay with the Accra based club due to the performance of the players.


Papic in his interview said, he wanted the players to play to suit him but unfortunately that didn’t happened.


He further stated that he tried to change their style of play but the players were uncomfortable with that.

“The players were uncomfortable with what I was teaching them and also they weren’t competent enough. 

He was appointed on November 30 last year but had to wait till December 13 to officially take charge of his first game which was against Dreams FC.

The former Orlando Pirates coach came to replace Edward Nii Odoom and was in charge of the Phobians for 10 games, winning four, drawing three and losing three.

This was Papic’s second-term at the Accra-based club with his first coming in 2008.
