Medeama FC Announce The Signing Of Two Players

Ghana Premier league giant Medeama football club, have officially announced the signing of two Ghanaian players on a permanent deal.

The Tarkwa based outfit have completed the signing of Ghanaian winger Zakaria Mumuni on a free transfer after exiting A.S Vita in Congo.

The Yellow and Mauve side made the official announcement on Monday on a two year deal.

The 24-year old in Congo made 12 appearances in both CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions for the Kinshasa-based club.

Zakaria was a target for Kumasi based Asante Kotoko but has put pen to paper for Medeama till 2023.

“We are excited to have Zakaria with us. He brings wealth of experience and technical know-how to our setup,” coach Samuel Boadu said

“The club has been on his tail for couple of months now and we’re happy he has finally joined us.

“We know of his quality and will be a great addition to the squad. We want to build a formidable team capable of challenging for honours this season and beyond.

Zakaria Mumuni told medeamasc.com: “This is an incredible opportunity to join a club with such an amazing project.

“I would like to thank everyone at Medeama for the massive show of love and support in this short period.

“We hope work hard as a collective unit and make our fans happy. This is another challenge for me and I look forward to another giant step in my career.

“This team has some of the best midfielders in the league and I hope to integrate quickly to make it count

“Having spoken to the coach about the vision and direction of the team, its hugely exciting and I can’t wait to be part of it.”

Also Medeama is delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Benjamin Arthur on a permanent contract.

Arthur, 27, has signed a two-year deal with the Mauve and Yellows after ending his stay at Elmina Sharks.

“Ben is a brilliant player and we’re happy to have him join the group,” coach Samuel Boadu told medeamasc.com

“He is a top quality player who will be an exciting addition to our talented crop of players.

“Hopefully he can hit the ground running and contribute significantly to the Medeama project.”

Benjamin Arthur said: “I am excited to be here as I open a new chapter in my career,”

“I want to thank coaches, officials, former colleagues and fans of Elmina Sharks for an amazing years at the club.

“They understand that a man must move on at some point in life. I am grateful for what we managed to do at Elmina.

“Now its time to shift focus on Medeama and contribute my bit to the success of this great team.

The two players however, will not feature for the club as they prepare to play Premier League side Eleven Wonders on Wednesday at Tarkwa.
