VIDEO: Pres Akufo-Addo Speaks On LGBTQ+ Saga


President of the land Nana Akufo-Addo has finally spoken on the trending news about the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) activities in the country.

The news about this LGBTQ+ has been a dominant thing in the past few weeks characterised by a plethora of discussions following the opening of the group’s office in Accra.


There has been divided minds as Pro-gay rights activists in the country have argued that the law does not explicitly outlaw the act aside from its criminalisation of unnatural carnal knowledge, adding that government must protect their interests as citizens while others has condemned the act.

As the pressure is still mount on government from both side the President Akufo-Addo has given his strongest indication on the whole matter.

Speaking at the installation of the 2nd Archbishop of the Anglican Church held at Asante Mampong, he emphatically stated that
“…it will never happen in his time as President.”

He his own words below;

“I have said it before, and let me stress it again, that it will not be under the Presidency of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo that same-sex marriage will be legal,” he said Saturday.
