The 2021 edition of the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) came off over the weekend on Sunday, May 16, 2021.

The award saw a number of Ghanaian entertainers winning big at the ceremony.

Among them were dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, rapper Sarkodie, and Ghana’s youngest disc jockey DJ Switch, and Kwame Yeboah.

Shatta Movement boss Shatta Wale won the ‘Virtual Entertainer of The Year’ award, winning it ahead of Beenie Man, Buju Banton, and others.

Rapper Sarkodie also took home the ‘Best Virtual Showcase/Concert of The Year’ with his Black over Concert even ahead of the popular Reggae Sunfest.

For other awards, young disc jockey, DJ Switch, was named the ‘Best Young Entertainer of The Year’ while Kwame Yeboah emerged as the ‘Instrumentalist of The Year’.

The 2021 edition which happens to be the 39th IRAWMA edition of the annual event.
